FIT FOR A NEW HOME

Through partners like the British Heart Foundation, Emmaus UK, Shelter and the Furniture Re-use Network, your table is passed on to a family or community setting that needs it, at a fraction of its original cost — used, valued and lived around again.

BEYOND A SECOND LIFE

Where a table is too worn or damaged to be passed on as it is, it goes to Community Wood Recycling or the Bristol Wood Recycling Project, where the timber is broken down and given a new purpose — never sent to landfill.

Either way, nothing you send us goes to waste.

How does trading in a dining table work?

Photograph your table in the form on this page — two minutes, any table, any age. A credit offer comes back within minutes, set against whichever Kayuko table you choose. Then, on the day your new table is carried in and assembled, the old one leaves in the same van. You never list it, lift it or wait in for a second collection.

How much is my old dining table worth?

Condition, size and timber decide it — a solid hardwood eight-seater that has kept its finish carries more than a tired veneer four — so there is no flat rate. The form on this page reads your photographs and returns an estimate in minutes, and the figure you accept is credited straight off the price of your new table.

Do you take tables you didn’t sell?

Yes — every trade-in is a table from somewhere else. Any maker, any age, any material: photograph it, take the credit, and it is collected the day your new table arrives. Sound pieces are passed on through our charity partners to homes that need them; anything beyond saving goes to wood recycling — never to landfill.

What condition does my table need to be in?

Honestly described is the only requirement. A table still fit for family life earns a stronger credit and moves on to its next home; one that is scratched, wobbling or past repair is still collected, and its timber recycled. Say what state it is in, show it in the photographs, and the offer will reflect it fairly.
